When someone hearsthe phrase “uncertain times,” most assume that refers to the economy, but whenit comes to information security, uncertain times has just become another termfor the “new normal.” Although threats oftentimes demonstrate an inverserelationship with economic shifts, no one really expects the threats to go awayonce the economy improves. Simply waiting for better times is not aviable option when the threats are continually evolving. Instead savvy,forward-thinking organizations are looking to reduce the increasing levels ofcomplexity and related costs within their security stance, while at the sametime maximizing their security investment.
But how can organization reduce complexity and cost without jeopardizing theiroverall security posture? Through security optimization,organizations are able demonstrate compliance, maximize budgets, and bolstersecurity.
